- SPA 115: Second Year Spanish Part I
- SPA 116: Second Year Spanish Part II
- SPA 213: Written Spanish (213 is the prerequisite for 215, 233, 243 and 244)**
- SPA 214: Oral Communication in Spanish (replaces the previous requirement of SPA 223, no longer offered, and is a prerequisite for 243/244)
- SPA 215: Introduction to Spanish Linguistics
- SPA 233: Introduction to Hispanic Literature

AP credit in Spanish Language
- An AP score of 3 counts toward SPA 112
- An AP score of 4 counts toward SPA 112 and 115

- An AP score of 3, 4, or 5 counts toward SPA 233
Honors
The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LAN) strongly encourages LAN majors to apply to and participate in the Honors Program. The Honors Program provides unique opportunities for academic and extracurricular engagement. In addition, it enhances students' resumes and provides them with experiences which will benefit them in their futures.
